You could be involved in shaping how data flows through organisations and supporting decisions that drive real impact. Typical Role Overview • Location: Manchester, Leeds, London, or nationwide (UK based) • Type: Contract • Full-time • Day Rate: £250–280 per day (or £380–450 per day dependent on experience and seniority) • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • Domain: Data and Analytics • Business Analysis What You Would Do Typical responsibilities could include: • Gathering and documenting data requirements from business stakeholders • Analysing data quality issues and identifying improvements to data pipelines • Aligning data solutions with business objectives and technical capabilities • Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to understand needs and communicate findings • Contributing to requirements documentation and creating clear specifications for data initiatives • Supporting the design and validation of data flows and processes • Collaborating with data engineers, analysts and technical teams to deliver solutions What You Could Bring Most roles of this type require the following: • Experience in data requirements gathering and business analysis • Familiarity with data pipelines, data quality assessment and pipeline alignment • Understanding of stakeholder engagement within data and analytics projects • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL and data modelling techniques • Knowledge of BPMN, UML or similar process documentation methods • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline • Strong communication skills and ability to translate between technical and business language Nice-to-have • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP • Familiarity with API design, microservices or distributed systems concepts • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE environments • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform • Programming experience in Python, Java, .NET or similar languages What Roles Of This Type Could Offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: • The opportunity to develop expertise in data analysis and business requirements within fast-moving organisations • Exposure to diverse industries and technical environments, from financial services to engineering • Potential progression toward senior-level analysis or specialist data roles • Flexible contract-based engagement, allowing you to build experience across multiple organisations • Access to professional development and exposure to emerging data technologies and methodologies • The chance to make a tangible difference in how organisations understand and use their data About SThree SThree is the global STEM workforce consultancy.
