Role description
Title: Data & Business Analyst (Treasury / Liquidity) Location: 150 E 42nd St New York, NY Duration: 9 months Schedule: 3 days in office/2 days remote Work Engagement: W2 Compensation: $75-81/hr is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position Benefits on offer for this contract position: Health Insurance, Life insurance, 401K and Voluntary Benefits Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data & Business Analyst with strong experience in financial services, particularly within Treasury and Liquidity reporting. This role requires expertise in data analysis, data lineage, and sourcing/mapping, along with a solid understanding of balance sheet products, including loans. The ideal candidate is self-driven, capable of working with minimal supervision, and experienced in translating business needs into actionable data requirements. Responsibilities: • Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements across Treasury and Liquidity initiatives. • Support regulatory and internal reporting efforts, including experience with FR 2052a and 6G liquidity reporting frameworks. • Perform data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and data quality issues. • Develop and maintain data lineage documentation, ensuring transparency of data flow from source to reporting. • Conduct data quality assessments, validations, and issue resolution. • Create and maintain source-to-target data mappings for various data integration and reporting initiatives. • Collaborate with business, technology, and data teams to ensure alignment of requirements and deliverables. • Write and execute SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and validation. • Provide insights and recommendations to improve data processes and reporting accuracy. Qualifications: • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. • Experience in Data Analysis and Business Analysis within financial services. • Strong knowledge of Treasury and Liquidity domains, including exposure to FR 2052a / 6G reporting. • Functional understanding of loans (consumer and commercial). • Proficiency in: • Data lineage and data quality management • Source-to-target data mapping • SQL • Ability to work independently with limited supervision. • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Familiarity with additional balance sheet products such as deposits, derivatives, and other financial instruments.
