Role description
Contract Data Business Analyst Duration: 6–12 months Location: Remote (UK-based) Start Date: February Daily rate - £400 (outside IR35) Sponsorship is not available for this role We’re seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to support a major data migration and transformation programme. This role spans discovery, build and scale phases, working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure smooth migration and adoption of modern data platforms. Key Responsibilities Lead discovery of legacy data sources and facilitate workshops to classify assets. Map complex transformation logic to business outcomes. Plan migration waves based on criticality and dependencies. Validate AI-generated logic and support pilot onboarding. Orchestrate UAT and manage stakeholder sign-off for production readiness. Required Skillset: SQL Expertise: Strong ability to navigate complex data lineages. Modern Data Platforms: Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure. ETL/Integration Tools: Experience with ADF or similar. AI Awareness: Exposure to or willingness to learn Generative AI tools. Workshop Facilitation: Confident engaging senior stakeholders. Problem Solving: Skilled at untangling complex onboarding challenges. Adaptability: Comfortable with shifting roles in a dynamic environment.
