Summary:
The IT Data Analyst will support an enterprise-wide initiative to analyze, clean up, and restructure NetApp Share Drive data. This role involves identifying data owners, documenting access requirements, and ensuring proper data governance. The analyst will collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to improve data management practices, maintain access integrity, and enhance overall data security.
Key Responsibilities:
โข Conduct comprehensive analyses of data storage systems to identify data owners and usage patterns.
โข Document and validate user access requirements with business stakeholders.
โข Support engineers in restructuring data folder hierarchies and implementing access control procedures.
โข Monitor, audit, and maintain data integrity across all shared drive environments.
โข Assist in defining and enforcing procedures for new folder creation and access provisioning.
โข Generate detailed progress and status reports on data cleanup and access management initiatives.
โข Evaluate and improve business processes, data flows, and technical solutions using analytical insights.
โข Perform benchmarking, trend, and impact analyses to support continuous improvement efforts.
โข Present findings, alternatives, and data-driven recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.
โข Ensure compliance with IT policies, data governance standards, and security best practices.
Qualifications:
โข Education: Bachelorโs degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
โข Experience: 5โ10 years in data analysis, IT data management, or related technical roles.
โข Skills & Competencies:
โข Proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of data analysis methodologies.
โข Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
โข Strong understanding of IT data governance, policies, and access control principles.
โข Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
โข Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.
โข Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
โข Experience supporting cross-functional and multi-disciplinary project teams.
โข High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
โข Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
