Role description
A rapidly growing construction group with offices in Birmingham and London is hiring a Data Consultant for an initial 3 month contract to support a major data and digital transformation programme. This is a hands on role for someone who can bring structure, process and clarity to a business that is ready to modernise its entire data ecosystem. The organisation is looking to evolve its current Microsoft environment and adopt best in class tools across Azure, Fabric and the wider MS stack. You will play a key part in shaping how data is captured, managed, governed and used across the company. Role: Data Consultant Day Rate: Competitive, Outside IR35 Location: Hybrid, with on site time required in Birmingham Duration: 3 months minimum, potential to extend What you will be doing: β€’ Assessing the current data landscape, processes and systems β€’ Designing clear, scalable data processes and governance frameworks β€’ Advising on best practice use of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure and Fabric β€’ Defining how data should flow across teams, tools and construction project workflows β€’ Creating documentation, workflows and operational structures for long term adoption β€’ Working closely with senior stakeholders to prioritise needs and build roadmaps β€’ Supporting the internal team through change, onboarding and operational readiness What you will need: β€’ Strong experience as a Data Consultant or Data Transformation Specialist β€’ Deep understanding of the Microsoft data ecosystem including Fabric, Azure, SQL and modern cloud data practices β€’ Ability to analyse messy or unstructured environments and introduce clarity β€’ Experience designing data processes, governance, documentation and operating models β€’ Confident working with non technical stakeholders to embed new ways of working β€’ Background in construction or project based industries is helpful but not essential β€’ Willingness to travel to Birmingham when required What’s on offer: β€’ Outside IR35 contract β€’ Minimum 3 month engagement with opportunity to extend β€’ Flexible hybrid working with autonomy β€’ A chance to lead a high impact transformation project from the ground up If you are a data consultant who enjoys building structure, modernising systems and enabling organisations to scale, this contract offers a meaningful challenge with plenty of room to make your mark.
