Data Developer

We are seeking a skilled Data Developer to design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions that support large-scale enterprise systems. This role focuses on building robust ETL pipelines, database structures, and reporting solutions to enable data analysis and business decision-making. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with strong expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, and data visualization tools, capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving requirements. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain T-SQL code for database objects and ETL processes • Build and optimize ETL solutions using SSIS • Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI • Support and enhance SSRS reporting solutions • Participate in all phases of the data development lifecycle • Perform impact analysis and provide development estimates for change requests • Collaborate in design and requirement definition sessions • Translate business requirements into technical specifications • Analyze and resolve data defects and performance issues • Work with data architects to align solutions with data architecture standards • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems • Analyze datasets to identify missing, incomplete, or invalid data • Document database structures, data flows, and transformations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BA, QA, and Project Management • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) Required Skills • Strong expertise in T-SQL (Expert level) • Hands-on experience with SSIS (ETL development) • Experience with SQL Server database development • Strong understanding of relational database design and data modeling • Experience with Power BI and SSRS or similar BI tools • Solid knowledge of data development best practices and patterns • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred Skills • Experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies • Knowledge of Data Vault modeling methodology • Strong background in data modeling and architecture • Exposure to advanced data visualization tools Required Experience • 5+ years of professional experience in data development with relational databases Preferred Experience • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Experience in Education or Government domains • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards
