Role description
Data Developer (Contract – Hybrid, Phoenix, AZ)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – onsite first week, then monthly/as needed)
Duration: 3–6 month contract (through Sept/Oct)
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Developer to design, build, and maintain data solutions supporting large-scale education systems across Arizona. This role focuses on T-SQL development, ETL processes, and data visualization, contributing to impactful, data-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain database objects and ETL processes using T-SQL and SSIS
• Build dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI
• Support and enhance SSRS reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions
• Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
• Assist with data modeling, architecture alignment, and data quality initiatives
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development lifecycle activities
Required Skills
• Expert in T-SQL
• Strong experience with SSIS
• Solid understanding of relational data modeling
Preferred Skills
• Power BI and SSRS
• Microsoft Azure data technologies
• Data Vault methodology
• Data modeling experience
Qualifications
• 5+ years of data development experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
