About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Player & Data Analytics team. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, designing high-quality data models, and developing innovative data products that drive impactful business outcomesβespecially within performance marketing.
The ideal candidate is both technically strong and business-aware, capable of transforming complex data signals into actionable insights. You will play a key role in ensuring data security, quality, reliability, and usability while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines and workflows
β’ Develop and optimize data models to support analytics and business intelligence
β’ Create data products that enhance performance marketing initiatives
β’ Transform raw data into meaningful insights for decision-making
β’ Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and game teams to align on requirements and definitions
β’ Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, security, and reliability
β’ Continuously improve systems, processes, and performance
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience
β’ OR
β’ Masterβs degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience OR
β’ Equivalent practical experience
β’ 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer in enterprise environments
β’ Strong experience building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines handling logs and event-streaming data
β’ Experience working with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)
β’ Proficiency in SQL
β’ Advanced proficiency in Python for data transformation and automation
β’ Experience with tools such as Apache Spark and Apache Airflow
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Background in the video game industry (as a player, industry professional, or ex-Microsoft employee)
β’ Familiarity with performance marketing analytics
β’ Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile environments
