Job Title: Data Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC Work Arrangement: 3 day in office with 2 day WFH Client Industry: Banking Duration: 12 -18 months Contract Schedule: Monday to Friday About The Role Hands on senior technical role for someone who wants to architect and build the next generation of AI-enabled and autonomous data platforms, influence technical direction at scale, and directly translate business problems into real-time, AI-powered decision systems. MUST HAVES: • Sr. hands on experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka • Experience supporting analytics, ML pipelines, and AI • Experience with NoSQL data stores • Redis • Applied real?time and event?driven architectures • Design and deliver end?to?end data & AI solutions, from architecture through production support • Strong communication Day to Day: • Responsible for designing and building enterprise-scale analytics, AI, and agentic intelligence platforms • Moving the business from descriptive insights to predictive, prescriptive, and autonomous decisioning • Hands-on technical execution with architecture leadership and program-level influence, partnering closely with business, data science, and engineering teams to deliver measurable outcomes • Lead the engineering design and implementation of enterprise-scale data, analytics, and AI platforms, including reusable technology enablers that improve development efficiency and enable advanced, AI-driven customer insights • Design and deliver end-to-end solutions from architecture through implementation and production support supporting analytics, machine learning pipelines, and agentic intelligence workflows based on initiative scale and complexity • Apply deep expertise in big data and real-time processing technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Spark Streaming, and NoSQL data stores such as Redis, to support analytics, AI inference, and event-driven decisioning • Engineer data pipelines and feature stores that reliably power machine learning models, real-time scoring, and autonomous agent execution across batch and streaming environments • Define and implement data and AI engineering best practices, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and performant across large and diverse data sets • Provide technical thought leadership grounded in experience across modern data, AI, and analytics platforms, including support for experimentation, model deployment, observability, and lifecycle management • Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams, fostering strong partnerships across engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver AI-enabled and agent-driven capabilities aligned to business outcomes • Function as a senior individual contributor while also leading teams or workstreams at the program level guiding engineers through architecture, AI integration patterns, and agent orchestration strategies • Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping translate business needs into data-driven, AI-powered, and increasingly autonomous solutions that produce actionable and scalable insights Compensation Hourly Rate: 65$-68$ per hour This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
