Role description
Role: Data Engineer with AI Enabled Job Location: NYC, NY Duration: 12+ months Visa Type:- No OPT/CPT/H1B Linkedin 2020 or before Strong comm. Skills Min 14+ more, Strong banking background. The Role Responsibilities: β€’ Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python and PySpark to process large datasets efficiently. β€’ Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. β€’ Implement and manage data warehousing solutions using Snowflake. β€’ Deploy and monitor data applications and pipelines on OpenShift container orchestration platform. β€’ Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. β€’ Ensure data quality, data security, and compliance with data governance standards. β€’ Automate data workflows to improve efficiency and scalability. β€’ Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in data pipelines and storage systems. β€’ Document data architecture, pipelines, and processes clearly and comprehensively. β€’ Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to data engineering β€’ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. β€’ Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. β€’ Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience using PySpark. β€’ Extensive experience working with SQL and relational databases. β€’ Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse platform. β€’ Familiarity with container orchestration and cloud deployment using OpenShift. β€’ Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture best practices. β€’ Experience with version control systems such as Git. β€’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. β€’ Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred, but not required: β€’ Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). β€’ Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. β€’ Experience with Kafka, Hadoop, or other big data technologies. β€’ Familiarity with Python libraries for data analysis and processing (e.g., pandas, numpy).
