Role description
Payrate: $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Summary: The main function of a data engineer is to ensure that the data assets of an organization are supported by an architecture that supports the organization in achieving its strategic goal. A typical data engineer is responsible for setting enterprise standards for databases, data integration, and the means to get to the data. Responsibilities: • Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications. • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Qualifications: • Associate's degree in computer programming or a relevant field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. • 2-4 years experience required. Skills: • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time. • Basic knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling. • Basic knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc. Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $23.00 - $24.00 /hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.
