Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to strengthen our efforts in identifying and measuring non-genuine software use. The successful candidate will utilize complex SQL queries, big data technologies, and business logic to categorize opportunities within the non-genuine base, aiding the scalability of our piracy conversion program. This role involves creating insightful dashboards in Tableau, applying statistical methodologies, and presenting findings to senior executives to drive decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write complex SQL queries to identify non-genuine software usage.
• Utilize Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and other big data technologies to apply business logic and categorize data effectively.
• Create dashboards in Tableau and conduct advanced modelling in Excel to visualize data insights.
• Apply statistical methodologies and data mining techniques on large data sets for in-depth analysis.
• Communicate analytical insights and recommendations clearly to senior executives.
Must-Have Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Hive, Pig).
• Advanced expertise in Tableau and Excel (including Power Pivot).
• Strong grasp of statistical concepts and data interpretation.
Industry Experience:
Prior experience in software compliance or related fields is advantageous
