This is a pure Analytics Engineering play where you will bypass the plumbing of ingestion to focus on crafting the sophisticated SQL transformations and star schemas that drive self-service BI for millions of subscribers. The Role • Design and implement scalable, production-grade analytical data models in Google BigQuery to power business-critical reporting. • Engineer complex SQL transformations that convert raw architectural data into trusted, analytics-ready assets and reusable metric layers. • Profile and interrogate complex datasets to translate intricate commercial questions into well-structured, performant data structures. • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Visualisation Developers to define consistent business metrics across the entire marketing and commercial landscape. • Optimise cloud data warehouse performance, ensuring that all analytical models are maintainable, scalable, and lightning-fast. What You'll Need • Advanced SQL Engineering expert-level skills with a proven track record of building complex analytical transformations. • Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery is highly preferred for this environment. • Strong background in Dimensional Modelling, including Star Schemas, denormalised tables, and semantic layer design (e.g., Looker/LookML). • Proficiency in Data Profiling and Analysis with the ability to interpret business meaning from unstructured source data. • Immediate availability to start by April 1st and ability to work in a hybrid capacity (3 days onsite) in London, Birmingham, or Bristol.
