Role description
Data Engineer Focus: Snowflake | Python | SQL | Platform Migration Overview We are seeking a highly technical Data Engineer to support a critical data platform migration from Adobe to Zeta and to strengthen our Snowflake-based data ecosystem. This role is hands-on and engineering-focused, requiring deep expertise in Snowflake, strong Python and SQL skills, and the ability to design, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines with minimal ramp-up time. The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering fundamentals with data science awareness, understands how customer data flows across cloud platforms, and can clearly translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Key Responsibilities • Support and contribute to data platform migration initiatives, including the migration from Adobe to Zeta, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. • Design, build, and enhance data pipelines in Snowflake, troubleshooting issues and creating new capabilities to support evolving business needs. • Validate and reconcile data across platforms, ensuring data in Snowflake aligns with downstream systems and reporting outputs. • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand how supplied data will be used and translate requirements into technical implementations. • Support dashboarding and analytical use cases by delivering clean, reliable, and well-structured datasets. • Collaborate with IT, data science, and product teams to improve platform performance, scalability, and data quality. Required Skills & Experience • Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and pipeline design. • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data transformation, validation, and pipeline development. • Experience supporting or contributing to data platform migrations between systems. • Solid understanding of cloud-based data platforms and customer data with minimal ramp-up required. • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Hands-on engineering experience troubleshooting complex data issues end to end. Nice to Have • Experience with Adobe (including Adobe QuickStream) or Zeta platforms. • Exposure to JavaScript in a front-end or data integration context. • Working knowledge of APIs and Spark sufficient to understand integrations and data flow. • Experience working with marketing or customer data platforms (not required). Ideal Candidate Profile • A technically strong Data Engineer with experience across modern data platforms. • Comfortable working in early-stage projects where systems and processes are still evolving. • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy. • Able to add value quickly without extensive onboarding.
