Role description
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Data Engineers for a full-time position in Bethesda, MD!
WEEKLY PAY -- FULL-TIME -- LONG-TERM
PAY: $60.00/hr (~$125,000/year)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays, 5 days per week (40 hours/week)
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Friday; 7:00am β 3:30pm
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 1+ year
Position Overview:
As a Data Engineer, you will evaluate Central Utility Plant (CUP) equipment performance, conduct energy and capacity modeling, support reliability-centered maintenance efforts, and collaborate with government counterparts on optimization projects. You will also manage critical engineering documentation and support commissioning activities of mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze operational data to conduct detailed performance evaluations of CUP equipment and systems.
Perform energy modeling, capacity modeling, trend analysis, and root cause failure investigations.
Collaborate with government partners on reliability-centered maintenance, utility forecasting, and energy optimization initiatives.
Maintain and update essential documentation, including as-builts, SOPs, compliance records, and engineering data packages.
Support and oversee commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, thermohydraulic, and industrial control systems.
Transform engineering data into dashboards, reporting tools, and insights that enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field (required).
Experience working with complex mechanical or electrical systems, preferably in a CUP or industrial environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and performance trends.
Familiarity with engineering modeling tools, predictive analytics, or system simulations.
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
Ability to collaborate with both engineering teams and government counterparts.
Knowledge of commissioning processes for mechanical, electrical, or controls systems preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Must meet background or clearance requirements associated with government facilities.
