Data Engineer

Description: Only W2 (USC Candidates) The Data Engineer (SQL Server DBA) supports the Metropolitan Council's mission by assisting in the development, maintenance, and documentation of data solutions that power essential public services. This role focuses on SQL Server database administration demonstrating core data engineering skills, supporting multiple sql server databases, supporting more junior engineers, and contributing to reliable and secure data workflows. The candidate must have experience writing and tuning complex SQL and stored procedures, experience with security best practices, patching, failover events, backups and disaster recovery, and version upgrades.
