Job Descri ptionWe are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java J2EE, PySpark/Spark, ETL and streaming pipelines, and AWS services and a proven ability to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve resilient and secure software solutions within Agile framew orks. Responsibil • ities:Design, develop, and maintain Python or Java J2EE and Spark-based applications and data pipe • lines.Build and operate ETL and streaming pipelines using PySpark/Spark and AWS ser • vices.Implement CI/CD, TDD, and secure coding practices to ensure application resil • iency.Develop, schedule, and monitor workflows using Databricks and Ai rflow.Required Skills & Qualifica • tions:Proficiency in Java J2EE and one or more general-purpose languages such as Python (preferred) or • Java.Extensive hands-on experience with PySpark/Spark for ETL and streaming pipe • lines.Experience with AWS services including EMR, Lambda, S3, an • d RDS.Experience with Databricks and Airflow for data engineering work • flows.Understanding of Agile methodologies and work within common Agile frame • works.Knowledge of CI/CD, TDD, cloud development, application resiliency, and security prac • tices.3+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certific ation.Preferred S • kills:Shell scripting and Unix systems exper • ience.Terraform proficiency for infrastructure manag • ement.Familiarity with modern LLM techniques and practical use case develo pment.Why BCfo rward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
