We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with prior healthcare industry experience to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong data engineering fundamentals and experience working with healthcare datasets and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
β’ Build and optimize data architectures supporting analytics and reporting needs
β’ Integrate data from multiple healthcare systems and sources (EHR, claims, clinical, or operational data)
β’ Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data platforms
β’ Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders
β’ Implement data validation, monitoring, and error-handling processes
β’ Support data modeling and database optimization
β’ Maintain documentation for data workflows and architecture
β’ Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security requirements
Required Qualifications
β’ Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
β’ Prior experience working in the healthcare domain (provider, payer, or health-tech environments)
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
β’ Experience with data pipeline development using Python, Spark, or similar technologies
β’ Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration processes
β’ Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
β’ Understanding of healthcare data standards and compliance (HIPAA awareness)
β’ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR, claims, EHR data)
β’ Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or modern data warehouses
β’ Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools (Airflow or similar)
β’ Exposure to data visualization or analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau)
