Role description
Data Engineer – Implementation / Client-Facing Role – Remote Role
Work Authorization – USC or GC
Duration: 6 month contract
Interview: 10 minute video assessment then Video interview with the client
Must Have:
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Solid background in data engineering, ETL, and pipeline development
• Assist with data integration efforts, including handling healthcare data formats where applicable (EDI 837/835)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong implementation experience to support the rollout of a new application within an Azure-based environment. This role is client-facing and requires strong communication skills to support presentations, discussions, and collaboration throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support end-to-end implementation of a new application from a data engineering perspective
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Work within an existing Azure data architecture, leveraging Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to communicate technical solutions clearly
• Assist with data integration efforts, including handling healthcare data formats where applicable (EDI 837/835)
• Ensure data processes align with HIPAA compliance standards
Required Skills:
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Solid background in data engineering, ETL, and pipeline development
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Nice to Have:
• Exposure to EDI transactions (837/835)
• Experience working with healthcare data and HIPAA-regulated environments
Additional Notes:
• This is primarily a data engineering/implementation role, not a pure EDI specialist position
• EDI knowledge is beneficial but not required
