Role description
Our client, a global investment management firm based in New York, NY, is looking for a data-focused professional with 3+ years of experience who brings strong technical skills and a solid understanding of financial servicesβideally from an investment bank or asset management environment.
Responsibilities Include:
β’ Work across business units to support data and reporting needs, with significant interaction with PMs and Research teams
β’ Write and optimize SQL queries and support data workflows in Snowflake
β’ Use Python to support analytics, automation, and data processing initiatives
β’ Build and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions using tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
β’ Contribute to project-based initiatives, supporting delivery and execution across stakeholders
β’ Support data needs tied to the trade lifecycle, primarily focused on equities
β’ Leverage market data tools such as Bloomberg or comparable platforms to support data analysis and reporting
Requirements Include:
β’ 3+ years of relevant experience within data engineering, architect, etc.
β’ Prior experience in investment banking or asset management strongly preferred
β’ Strong hands-on experience with:
β’ SQL (querying and coding)
β’ Snowflake
β’ Python
β’ BI/reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
β’ Project experience supporting cross-functional delivery
β’ Understanding of equities trade lifecycle
β’ Familiarity with Bloomberg or other market data systems
β’ Data modeling experience is a strong plus
