This role requires deep expertise in Azure data services, strong hands-on skills in ETL/ELT pipeline development, and a solid background in data governance. Key Responsibilities โ€ข Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Synapse Analytics โ€ข Develop scalable ETL/ELT workflows with Python, SQL, and Apache Spark โ€ข Implement robust data models aligned to enterprise architecture standards โ€ข Engineer analytics and data integration pipelines in cloud/hybrid environments โ€ข Support data governance efforts including metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging โ€ข Drive data quality and compliance across regulated domains (healthcare, finance, or federal environments) โ€ข Collaborate in Agile teams and contribute to CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps Required Skills & Experience โ€ข 10+ years of experience in data engineering, including 5+ years on Azure โ€ข Proven expertise in: โ€ข Azure Data Factory โ€ข Databricks โ€ข Azure Synapse โ€ข Apache Spark, SQL, and Python โ€ข Strong background in building cloud-native data solutions and modeling complex data sets โ€ข Experience in regulated or federal data environments โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Masterโ€™s preferred) โ€ข Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Nice to Have โ€ข Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD automation โ€ข Experience authoring secure, scalable ETL workflows in compliance-focused environments โ€ข Ability to lead and normalize data structures for enterprise use โ€ข Strong knowledge of data cataloging, lineage tracking, and data governance best practices โ€ข Passion for documentation, standards, and continuous improvement Ready to build the future of data-driven solutions?
