Data Engineer Remote Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate - $38.00 - $46.00/hr (Depending on experience) We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team and grow into a core contributor on our data infrastructure and analytics initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their data engineering career to build hands-on experience with enterprise-scale pipelines, cloud platforms, and business intelligence tools while working closely with senior engineers who will mentor your growth. Responsibilities: • Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows • Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes • Manage and document data schemas and metadata • Partner with analysts and business users to translate data needs into technical solutions • Run data quality checks and troubleshoot pipeline issues • Automate manual data processes to improve efficiency • Work hands-on with cloud-based data tools and platforms (Azure) • Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices • Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies with the team Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, or a related field • 1–3 years of experience in a data engineering or analytics support role • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases • Working knowledge of Python for data processing • Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally • Collaborative mindset with a desire to learn from senior team members in a mentorship-driven environment Preferred Experience(Bonus): • Familiarity with the retail energy industry • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) • Familiarity with CRM systems and customer data • Certifications in data engineering or cloud technologies What’s in it for you?
