Data Engineer -BigQuery (GoodData/Metabase)

Role: Sr Data Engineer role Location Remote- MUST live in PST time zone. Visa USC and GC Must Haves: • 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong ownership of production data platforms and pipelines. • MUST HAVE hands-on experience with Google BigQuery for data warehousing, modeling, optimization, and analytics. • Strong experience using dbt to build, maintain, and scale data transformation frameworks. • Expert-level SQL skills and deep understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and warehouse design. • Experience building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines using tools such as Fivetran or similar ingestion platforms. • Experience supporting finance, revenue, accounting, or operational reporting workflows. • Strong understanding of data quality, testing, validation, monitoring, and platform reliability best practices. • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and improve data accuracy across multiple systems. • Ability to operate independently in a highly autonomous environment while coordinating with globally distributed teams. • Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Plusses: • Experience working with customer segmentation, support tiering, or operational analytics initiatives. • Experience supporting data platforms across multiple products or business units. • Familiarity with analytics and BI tools such as GoodData, Metabase, or similar reporting platforms. • Experience mentoring engineers and serving as a senior technical contributor within a small team environment.
