Data Engineer – Cloudera We are supporting a tech global organisation. 3 months initially – 37.5 hours per week – £725 Inside IR35 per day – remote working with some travel to Manchester for meetings Location & assignment - Based in Manchester (remote/hybrid) -3 month assignment to cover Parental Leave, start date: A.S.A.P - Data Engineer (Platform) – 3 month Parental Leave cover - We’re looking for a Software Engineer to support the Platform team in Manchester during parental leave cover. - The team maintains a platform, built on Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) “Cloudera on cloud” on AWS, which powers analytics for the Transport / Trips business unit. Key responsibilities - Collaborate with other engineers in the team to respond to customer, security and compliance requirements - Diagnose and fix production issues - in hours - Perform upgrades and other routine maintenance as necessary - Respond quickly and clearly to messages and requests from customers and team members - Actively participate in team discussions and ceremonies Must have skills - Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) on AWS or recent experience with Hadoop Administration on a similar platform - AWS Administration - Strong experience in one or more of: Apache Ranger, Impala, Spark, Airflow, AWS CDK - Experience and familiarity with Agile ways of working (Scrum) and tools (Jira, Slack) - CI/CD, Git Other Good to have Skills - Experience with PowerBI
