Role description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Architect / Implementation Lead to drive the successful introduction, implementation, and growth of Microsoft Fabric across the organization. This is a high-impact role responsible for shaping the platform strategy, establishing standards and governance, and ensuring the solution is scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
This individual will operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, partnering closely with business leaders, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver practical, high-value data and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric, from initial setup through enterprise-wide adoption
• Define and establish architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
• Translate business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem
• Partner with stakeholders across business and technology teams to align platform capabilities with organizational needs
• Ensure data security, compliance, and performance standards are met
• Drive data platform strategy, including integration, modeling, and reporting approaches
• Support and guide development teams, ensuring consistency and quality in solution delivery
• Promote user adoption by enabling self-service analytics and providing guidance and training where needed
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve data accessibility, and deliver measurable business value
• Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft data technologies
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platform implementation
• Strong experience with Microsoft data technologies (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric)
• Proven track record of implementing enterprise data platforms and governance frameworks
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based architectures
• Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and best practices
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear business terms
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience leading large-scale platform implementations or transformations
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and master data management frameworks
• Microsoft certifications in Azure or data-related technologies
• Experience enabling self-service BI and driving data literacy initiatives
