Role description
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Durham, NC. Responsibilities:
β’ Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software - sprint to sprint, release to release
β’ Excellence in software development practices and procedures
β’ Data Engineer will participate in application-level architecture
β’ Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts
β’ Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)
β’ Responsible for supporting implementation of moderate-scope projects or major initiatives
β’ Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project
β’ As a Data Engineer, you will define, maintain, and support our enterprise products
β’ Perform troubleshooting and triaging in Assist in production and nonproduction environment
β’ Writing SQL queries and debugging stored procedures within an Oracle environment
β’ Design and Build Production data pipelines from Ingestion to consumption with Big Data Architecture using AWS S3, Kinesis, Glue, Lambda and Python
β’ Provide Detail assessment of current state of data platform and create transition path to AWS Cloud
Requirements
β’ 3+ years of development experience in Database Development
β’ Experience in migrating On-Prem relational databases to AWS RDS (Oracle), Aurora, Redshift, Dynamo DB (or similar)
β’ Experience in implementing AWS Lambda Architecture
β’ Knowledge of Informatica and/or ETL tools
β’ Understanding of data transformation processes to AWS Data Lake/Snowflake
β’ Standout colleague, self-starter, collaborative, innovative and eager to learn every day
β’ Excellent communication and documentation skills
β’ Enjoy experimental development solutions
β’ Ability to multi-task within various initiatives if needed
β’ AWS Certification is highly desired
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
