Role description
Weβre seeking a skilled Data Engineer (contractor) to help our client build and scale their data infrastructure using Databricks.
What youβll do
β’ Design, build and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines
β’ Work with streaming and batch data ingestion
β’ Optimize data quality and reliability
β’ Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering teams
β’ Influence architecture decisions and shape best practices
What weβre looking for
β’ Proven experience with Databricks in production environments
β’ Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services
β’ Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
β’ Comfort with autonomy, ambiguity, and fast-paced environments

β’ Contract role (6 months +), with potential extension
β’ Ideally 2 days a week onsite in Warrington, but can offer some flex if this is not feesible
