Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to support a smart manufacturing solutions team focused on improving the resilience and operational stability of data pipelines from factory systems to cloud environments. This role is responsible for developing analytics, dashboards, and monitoring capabilities that enable rapid identification and resolution of pipeline issues while improving overall system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and integrate production support technologies and systems to improve data pipeline reliability
• Proactively identify vulnerabilities and implement process-oriented solutions that strengthen pipeline resilience
• Develop and apply advanced analytics for monitoring, anomaly detection, and performance optimization
• Conduct detailed analysis of pipeline performance, incidents, and root causes to drive continuous improvement
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports with key performance indicators to measure system and pipeline health
• Collaborate with global teams across IT, operations, and engineering to troubleshoot and resolve data issues
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations related to system performance and enhancements
• Maintain accurate documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
• Support data governance efforts with a focus on data quality and data integrity
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership
• Experience supporting data pipelines, systems reliability, and production environments
• Proficiency in Python and related libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, and machine learning frameworks
• Experience with SQL and scripting for data analysis and automation
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with tools such as BigQuery and Dataflow
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and cloud monitoring platforms
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
• Experience with industrial data platforms and API data integration preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
