Role Overview:
β’ Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to join a collaborative, agile product team focused on building and delivering high-quality data solutions that directly support operational and business needs. This role plays a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making by designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures.
β’ The Data Engineer will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders including analysts, data scientists, and business teams to transform raw data into reliable, accessible, and actionable insights. This includes working on modern data platforms, improving data quality and reliability, and implementing efficient processes for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration of complex data sources
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality, accessible datasets
β’ Partner with data scientists to support model development and deployment
β’ Develop and optimize data architectures aligned with modern, cloud-first best practices
β’ Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all pipelines
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve data issues through root cause analysis and proactive improvements
β’ Contribute to automation efforts to reduce manual data work and improve efficiency
β’ Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
β’ Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance data capabilities
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field
β’ 4β5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or analytics
β’ Strong programming skills in at least two languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Java, R, Spark)
β’ Advanced SQL expertise and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
β’ Experience with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Power BI)
β’ Experience with version control tools such as Git
β’ Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
β’ Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with healthcare or operational data environments
β’ Familiarity with enterprise data systems and reporting tools
β’ Experience with cloud-based data ecosystems and hybrid architectures
β’ Knowledge of big data tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Hive) and NoSQL databases
β’ Experience with CI/CD, data pipeline automation, and performance optimization
β’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
β’ Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments
The projected hourly range for this position is $70-80/hr.
