End Client: State of Florida Job Title: Data Engineer Duration: 12-36 Months Start Date: ASAP Position Type: Contract Number of Hours: 40 Hours a Week Location: Tallahassee, Florida 32399 (Onsite) Interview Type: In Person / Webcam Department: Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) Responsibilities: • Design, construct, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, • Create and manage relational databases and data warehouses • Write complex SQL queries, optimizing query execution and performance tuning, • Data modeling and architecture, • Ensuring data quality and reliability, • Collaboration with Data Stakeholders • Implementation of Data Security and Governance • Expert SQL Proficiency (T-SQL, PL/SQL), • Familiarity with Data Warehousing Tools like Snowflake, Redshift • Works as a subject matter expert for data integration, data exchange, and interfaces between internal and external systems associated with the Agency, • Collaborate between the applications developer/DBA and the business unit working with the carious Agency systems, • Acts as a liaison between APD and the external Agency technical staff on resolving issues with interfaces, data integration and the data exchange jobs associated with the Agency systems • Performs system testing and maintain the test results for various APD systems, • Helps the developer/analyst in analyzing data and reports for resolving critical issues with production systems; and • Liaises with network administrators, developers, system analysts, and business owners to assist in resolving problems with applications/programs. Required Skills : • 7 plus years of successful data driven system development/integration experience using Microsoft SQL server. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years’ experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or management information systems.
