About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join our clientβs Data Engineering team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading enterprise organization focused on large-scale data transformation and engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with strong coding expertise and experience working with large datasets, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for large-scale data processing
Build and enhance data pipelines using Python and PySpark
Create and manage Hive tables within Hadoop environments
Perform query optimization and performance tuning for large datasets
Analyze and transform structured and unstructured data efficiently
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data engineering initiatives
Write clean, scalable, and production-quality code
Participate in technical discussions, troubleshooting, and implementation activities
What Weβre Looking For
5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience within the U.S.
Strong expertise in Advanced SQL and query optimization
Strong hands-on Python development experience
Experience with Hadoop, Hive, and PySpark
Experience creating tables, performance tuning, and handling large datasets
Strong coding and problem-solving skills
Ability to explain technical logic and implementation clearly
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
