Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure data services, Databricks, and SQL fundamentals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Data Architect (minimum 3 years) and a solid background in building and optimizing data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and handling large-scale datasets.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows (ETL/ELT).
• Work with Azure data services and Databricks to deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and ensure robust database design.
• Orchestrate workflows using Airflow/Astronomer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering operations.
• Handle large-scale structured and unstructured datasets for analytics and reporting.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) – 4-year degree required.
• 6–8 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of Data Architect experience.
• Strong SQL and database fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services.
• Working knowledge of Databricks.
• Familiarity with Airflow/Astronomer workflows.
• Experience managing large-scale datasets (structured & unstructured).
