Overview
We’re hiring a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to support the build and delivery of a healthcare data product in a fast-moving, tech-for-good startup environment.

You’ll work closely with product and stakeholders to translate user requirements into scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and build data models and pipelines for healthcare datasets
• Work with sensitive data, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards
• Implement and maintain data linkage, access, and transformation processes
• Apply anonymisation techniques (e.g. k-anonymity) where required
• Translate user and product requirements into data solutions
• Contribute to the development of data products used by end users
• Work closely with stakeholders in a startup environment, iterating quickly and pragmatically
Key Requirements
• Strong experience working with healthcare or highly regulated data
• Hands-on expertise with Python and SQL
• Experience in data modelling and data warehousing
• Understanding of OMOP / common data models / OHDSI (or similar healthcare data standards)
• Experience with data access, linkage, and data treatment processes
• Knowledge of data privacy and anonymisation techniques (e.g. k-anonymity)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders
Ideal Profile
• Experience working in startup or scale-up environments
• Comfortable with ambiguity and working without a “safety net”
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to challenge requirements constructively
• Experience building end-to-end data products
Additional Information
• Fully remote, with bi-weekly meet-ups in London
• Immediate start preferred
• Opportunity to work on a high-impact, tech-for-good product with real-world outcomes
