Role description
🚨 Data Analytics Engineer | Contract | Outside IR35 | £450–£475/day I’m currently hiring a Data Analytics Engineer for an exciting 4-month contract, starting in the last week of August and running until just before Christmas. 📍 London – 1 day per week onsite 💰 £450–£475/day 📄 Outside IR35 ⏱️ 4-month contract 🎯 1-stage interview process 🚀 Start date: w/c 24th August 🔎 The Project The project is focused on migrating reporting away from Gainsight and onto the client's own modern data stack: dbt + Amazon Redshift + ThoughtSpot + HubSpot The successful candidate will play a key role in rebuilding business-critical reporting and data models, with the initial priority being parity, accurately understanding and replicating existing business logic before introducing improvements or redesigns. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into existing data models, understanding how they work, and translating that logic into well-structured, governed and testable analytics models. 🛠️ What's In Scope? • Rebuild in dbt • Understand and replicate the existing scoring methodology, including inputs, weightings and thresholds • Ensure the resulting model produces the same outputs as the existing Gainsight implementation • Support health triggers being sent into HubSpot, working alongside the Data Engineering team Engagement & Outcome Reporting • Rebuild existing engagement and outcome reporting • Develop the required reporting layer within ThoughtSpot • Ensure reports accurately reflect the existing business logic and outputs Legacy Reporting • Migrate a small number of additional legacy reports • Work with internal stakeholders to confirm requirements and validate outputs Data Quality & Ingestion • Identify and help close a small number of existing data ingestion gaps • Work closely with the Data Engineering team, who will own the underlying ingestion work • Ensure the resulting data models are reliable, documented and production-ready 👇 We're Looking For ✅ Strong hands-on dbt experience, including modelling, testing and documentation ✅ Strong SQL experience ✅ Good experience working with Amazon Redshift ✅ Proven ability to reverse-engineer existing data/business logic and replicate it accurately ✅ Experience building analytics models rather than simply consuming data ✅ Experience with ThoughtSpot, ideally building reports and dashboards ✅ Experience working with HubSpot integrations or customer data ✅ Experience with customer health scoring, customer success or SaaS analytics ✅ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills ✅ Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity ✅ Ability to proactively identify blockers and find solutions ✅ Experience preparing clean, well-documented dbt code/models for handover to an internal Analytics Engineer If you're a Data Analytics Engineer with strong dbt + SQL/Redshift experience and are available from the last week of August, I'd love to hear from you. 📩 Apply for this role below‼
