Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Long Island City, NY. Summary: We're seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL and Python skills to join a fast-paced, collaborative team. This role involves building and managing data pipelines, modeling data, and working directly with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Data Engineer will build ELT pipelines using tools like Snowflake, dbt, and Azure Data Factory β€’ Translate business requirements into technical solutions β€’ Own projects end-to-end, from design to deployment β€’ Collaborate with product teams and end users β€’ As a Data Engineer, you will perform assessments in SQL, Python, and data modeling β€’ Document processes and maintain data integrity Requirements β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field β€’ 2-3 years of experience in data engineering or analytics β€’ Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks) β€’ Strong SQL skills (assessment required) β€’ Excellent communication and project management skills β€’ Willingness to learn and adapt quickly β€’ Local candidates preferred Bonus Skills β€’ Experience with dimensional modeling β€’ Prior exposure to airline or transportation data (not required) The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
