Role description
Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Data Engineer II to join our team. Employer asks for I-9 information. JOB SUMMARY This role will assist in understanding data requirements, cleaning and analyzing data, and building data pipelines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating with team members and stakeholders to understand data structures and requirements, design virtual views to integrate disparate data sources, and design and build pipelines. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent education and experience plus an additional six (6) years working in an IT environment which includes at least three (3) years of data analyst experience. • Strong understanding of Denodo and cloud-based data services (Microsoft Azure, Synapse, Fabric, etc.). • Proficiency with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes. • Knowledgeable in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong SQL and performance tuning skills. • Ability to lead and deliver complex projects that may involve other IT sections, other departments, and consultants. PREFERRED • Experience with agile development methodologies. • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps or GitLab CI/CD. • Understanding of Power BI or other reporting tools. • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion. RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, develop, and deploy data integration solutions using Denodo and cloud-based technologies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements. • Develop and maintain data pipelines, architectures, and data models to support business intelligence and analytics. • Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs. • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
