Role description
RJC are working with a major Oil and Gas company that are looking to expand their Data team. They're looking for a Data Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports forward curve setup and management for crude oil and refined products.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and automate forward curve setup processes for crude oil and refined products.
• Design and manage ETL workflows and data pipelines that feed pricing and risk systems.
• Support deployment and maintenance of curve management tools and analytical dashboards.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in data engineering or market data management, preferably in oil & gas or commodities trading (though commodities exp. isnt essential!)
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with ETL frameworks, data pipelines, and API integrations.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift).
This is an initial 6 month contract, with the view to long-term permanent engagement.
