Role description
Role: Data Engineer (GXP)
Location: Vacaville CA / Onsite
Employment: Contract
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with at least 2 years in a GxP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Strong experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, dbt, Matillion, etc.).
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling concepts.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehouse solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse).
Familiarity with data governance, GxP compliance, CSV (Computer System Validation), and audit trails.
Knowledge of regulated systems such as LIMS, ELN, MES, ERP, Clinical Trial Systems, and their data workflows.
