Senior Data Engineer | GCP | Real-Time Data Pipelines
Fully Remote
6+ Month Contract
£600-£650 per day (inside IR35)
We’re currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform experience to help build and optimise modern, scalable data platforms for a high-profile project.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, building robust pipelines, and working across modern cloud-native architectures.
Candidates MUST have experience building and supporting real-time data pipelines / streaming dataflows on GCP.
What you’ll be doing:
• Designing and developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Building real-time and batch data workflows on GCP
• Developing robust data ingestion and transformation frameworks
• Working with structured and semi-structured datasets
• Collaborating with Analytics and Data Modelling teams
• Improving data reliability, monitoring, and observability
• Automating deployments and orchestration workflows
• Helping shape tooling, frameworks, and engineering best practice
What we’re looking for:
• Experience with Dataflow and working on real-time dataflows / streaming architectures
• Strong experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Proven hands-on expertise across GCP data services
• Experience with real-time dataflows / streaming architectures
• Strong SQL and data transformation skills
• Experience with orchestration and automation tools
• Knowledge of modern data platform architectures (Lakehouse/Warehouse)
• Data Vault 2.0 exposure
• BigQuery optimisation experience
