Role description
Looking for Data Engineer with experience in SQL, Python, Spark, and Databricks, responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL solutions. Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, data modeling, and Agile development practices. Looking for candidates with strong problem-solving skills, collaboration abilities, and a passion for modern data engineering technologies. Required Skills • Data Engineering • SQL • Python • Spark / PySpark • Databricks Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. • 1–3 years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering. • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python. • Exposure to Spark (PySpark/Spark SQL) and distributed data processing. • Experience or familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms. • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data quality concepts. • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD concepts, and Agile methodologies. • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Must be located in the United States. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or Tableau. • Exposure to Delta Lake, Iceberg tables, or modern lakehouse architectures. • Knowledge of HR/People Analytics data domains. • Familiarity with Workday, ServiceNow HR, or similar systems. • Exposure to streaming technologies such as Kafka or Spark Structured Streaming. • Azure certifications are a plus. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and applications. • Write clean, optimized, and reusable code following engineering standards. • Perform debugging, unit testing, and defect resolution. • Collaborate with technical leads and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions. • Participate in technical design discussions and process improvements. • Create and maintain technical documentation. • Ensure timely delivery with high-quality standards. Desired Skills • Strong understanding of data engineering best practices. • Ability to work independently and within Agile teams. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong ownership mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies.
