Data Engineer

Job Summary Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent written and oral communication skills location: Durham, North Carolina job type: Contract salary: $65 - 66 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors Responsibilities • 7+ years of experience in developing quality data solutions • Software development experience in the Financial Industry • Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, SQL Scripting, and database performance tuning • Intermediate experience in Java development is preferred • Solid understanding of ETL tools like Informatica and Data Warehousing like Snowflake. • You enjoy learning new technologies, analyzing data, identifying gaps, issues, patterns, and building solutions • You can independently analyze technical challenges, identify, assess impact, and identify innovative solutions • Strong data modeling skills using Quantitative and Multi-Dimensional Analysis • Demonstrate understanding of data design concepts - Transactional, Data Mart, Data Warehouse etc. • Beginner proficiency of in Python, REST API and AWS is a plus Qualifications You are passionate about delivering high quality software using DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Docker) practices!
