Role description
Position: Power BI Developer & Analytics Engineer
Location: On-site (5 days/week)
Duration: 18 months Contract (Extendable)
Equipment: laptop will be provided
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Build and optimize semantic models, DAX measures, Power Query (M), and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Develop scalable data models and reusable analytical solutions using SQL and Power BI.
• Support data engineering initiatives including ETL/ELT pipelines, data validation, troubleshooting, and migrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support reporting modernization efforts involving Microsoft Fabric and Amazon Redshift.
• Perform production support, root cause analysis, and data quality validation.
• Create technical documentation and participate in knowledge transfer activities.
Required Skills:
• 2–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling, Semantic Models, RLS).
• Strong SQL skills for querying, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, analytics engineering, and data warehousing.
• Experience supporting production reporting environments and resolving data quality issues.
Preferred Skills:
• Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models, Data Factory).
• Python or Spark.
• Experience with IoT, telemetry, or high-volume event data.
• Data migration and reporting modernization experience.
• Familiarity with AI and predictive analytics.
