Programmers.io is currently looking for a Data Engineer
Onsite role in Roseville, CA, United States
Contract Role - Open for W2 or C2C
Mandatory:
• Ability to produce custom plots and visualizations (multi-Y-axis time series, scaling plots, latency curves, multi-series comparisons)
Gathering data and using data to plot (preferably Python) and visualize and report generation using Tableau and Power BI or any visualization tool
• Excel expertise: plotting, graphing, parsing, macros, pivot tables, VBE/VBA, conditional formatting, custom VBA/VBE tools
• Experience with measured block and file object data, cubic spline, fabricated, simulated, and polynomial datasets
• Regression technique using cubic spline and polynomial datasets using raw data (synthetic data generation)
• Must know statistical techniques to generate data and have some good statistical knowledge
• MathCAD and MathCAD license-server familiarity
• Familiarity with MESOS and related dependencies for deploying and running simulation models
Good to have:
• Knowledge of HPE storage systems (and general storage technologies)
• Virtualization and server management: VMware (including VM essentials), Hyper-V (installations, conversions, tuning, memory allocation), active Synergy server blades
• Scripting and automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Knowledge of performance measurement tools (example: Vdbench, fio, IOmeter)
