As part of this transition, existing data must be analyzed, mapped, transformed, and prepared for ingestion into the new system. The legacy RMS data resides in MySQL database tables; however, comprehensive documentation, including a full data dictionary and schema definitions, is incomplete and unavailable. The Agency seeks an experienced Data Engineer to support data discovery, modeling, extraction, and transformation activities required for a successful migration. Required: • Advanced SQL with emphasis on complex SELECT statements, joins, subqueries, and transformation logic. • MySQL/MSSQL database architecture, and schema discovery. • Data modeling, normalization concepts, and reverse-engineering undocumented schema. • ETL methodology and preparing structured data for ingestion into third-party systems. • Strong analytical and documentation skills with the ability to interpret incomplete or ambiguous legacy data. • Experience with ETL processing binary large objects, PDF, and other unstructured data Preferred: • Experience with public-safety RMS, case-management, or similarly complex relational data structures (preferred).
