Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong Python and AWS Glue expertise to support enterprise data engineering initiatives. The role requires an initial onsite presence in Minnesota for onboarding and collaboration, followed by full remote work.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Build and optimize data workflows using AWS Glue
• Develop data processing logic using Python
• Ingest data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and cloud storage
• Work with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, and CloudWatch
• Ensure data quality, validation, performance tuning, and error handling
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data pipelines
• Document data processes and technical designs
Required Skills:
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with Python
• Solid experience with AWS Glue
• Good understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data lakes
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience working in cloud-based data platforms (AWS preferred)
• Ability to work onsite in Minnesota for the first 2 months
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Apache Spark
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data engineering
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Enterprise or long-term project experience
