Role description
Must Have:
β’ Ability to analyze and gather insights from large volumes of Data
β’ Skilled in Python and SQL to write ETL scripts.
β’ Understanding of AWS services, primarily Glue ETL and Redshift.
β’ Mortgage Industry experience as Data Engineer.
β’ Angular JS skill needed.
Responsibilities
β’ Data Analyst gathers user requirements for database changes.
β’ Analyzes database requirements.
β’ Creates specifications for the ETL team to load the data to the database.
β’ Participates in functional design sessions.
β’ Creates and executes test scripts for the load of the database.
β’ Aids in the escalation/resolution of data issues.
β’ The candidate must be familiar with the development lifecycle.
β’ Must be proficient in querying databases via SQL or other tools.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
β’ Professional certification(s) desired.
β’ 15+ years software development experience with experience with projects of similar scope and complexity.
Required Skills
β’ Expertise with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
β’ Ability to translate high level business requirements into database and ETL requirements (source to target mappings).
β’ Ability to document business processes.
β’ Knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
β’ Excellent communication skills.
β’ Strong analytical skills.
β’ Ability to multitask is critical.
β’ Knowledge of testing tools such as Mercury Quality Center or HP Quality Center desired.
