Role description
Must Have:
• Ability to analyze and gather insights from large volumes of Data
• Skilled in Python and SQL to write ETL scripts.
• Understanding of AWS services, primarily Glue ETL and Redshift.
• Mortgage Industry experience as Data Engineer.
• Angular JS skill needed.
Responsibilities
• Data Analyst gathers user requirements for database changes.
• Analyzes database requirements.
• Creates specifications for the ETL team to load the data to the database.
• Participates in functional design sessions.
• Creates and executes test scripts for the load of the database.
• Aids in the escalation/resolution of data issues.
• The candidate must be familiar with the development lifecycle.
• Must be proficient in querying databases via SQL or other tools.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Professional certification(s) desired.
• 15+ years software development experience with experience with projects of similar scope and complexity.
Required Skills
• Expertise with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to translate high level business requirements into database and ETL requirements (source to target mappings).
• Ability to document business processes.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask is critical.
• Knowledge of testing tools such as Mercury Quality Center or HP Quality Center desired.
