Snowflake Data Engineer
100% Onsite Washtenaw County, Michigan
$70 - 80 hourly
Seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience and proven expertise in Snowflake implementations, ELT pipeline development, and data system optimization.
Must Haves / Mandatory:
• 5 plus years of professional experience in data engineering
• Hands-on Snowflake implementation and / or migration experience
• Strong ELT development skills using modern tooling
• Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise with light Python scripting
Nice to Have / Preferred:
• Familiarity with data governance, compliance, or security frameworks
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
• Lead Snowflake implementation efforts, including data migration, integration, and performance tuning across large-scale environments.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT pipelines that integrate diverse data sources and support analytics and reporting needs.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Use Python for automation and light scripting to streamline data workflows and support transformation logic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, ensure data quality, and uphold compliance with institutional standards.
