Role description
Position Title: Data Engineer Location: Remote - DC Area Clearance Requirements: Active Secret Pay Rate: $80/hr on W2 Position Description Join a dynamic team, this position involves designing, developing, and scaling robust data infrastructure solutions in the cloud, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and scalable data platforms. You will build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, AWS services, and APIs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure data security and compliance, including PII handling through Amazon Macie. The role offers flexibility to work remotely within the DC area, with occasional travel to Quantico as needed. Be part of a mission-critical team driving innovative data solutions for national security. Top Requirements • 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Master's (or equivalent experience) • Active Secret clearance • Proven expertise in AWS architecture, cloud data platforms (Data Lakes/Warehouses), and security best practices • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Java, Scala, or R, with experience in data engineering tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Kinesis, and related frameworks • Hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and data warehouses in cloud environments • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with ability to lead and support project initiatives About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm — we are your trusted career partner.
