Role: Data Engineer
Location: Bournemouth, UK (Onsite - 5 days/Week)
Employment type: Contract

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources
• Build and optimize large-scale data processing workflows using Databricks and PySpark
• Develop reusable, efficient, and well-documented data solutions using Python
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data pipelines
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and application developers to support analytics and business intelligence needs
• Assist in integrating data services with front-end applications, including basic components built with React
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows and system performance
• Follow best practices for data engineering, version control, and deployment
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong experience with ETL concepts and implementation
• Hands-on experience with Databricks
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with PySpark for distributed data processing
• Basic knowledge of React and front-end integration concepts
• Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data transformation techniques
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
